Your responsiblities will include: assist with Ranger Station operations, issue backcountry, fishing and boating permits, provide visitor information and answer phone calls (50%); assist with emergency services operations including ambulance operations, structural fire, search and rescue and visitor assistance, and maintain emergency services equipment and vehicles(20%); assist with front and backcountry resource management operations, provide assistance at wildlife jams, provide exotic plant management, patrol and clear backcountry trails and assist with boat/marine operations, (20%); other outdoor work projects and duties as assigned and participate in area and park wide training, (10%). This position is not eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award.

  • Lake District is located on the eastside of Yellowstone National Park. The closest large town is Cody, WY a distance of 83 miles, where all services and amenities are available.
