Tasks will include assisting our partner, the Pacific Rim Institute, with the propagation of native species and transplanting to various National Park Service properties when appropriate. Intern will have the opportunity to prepare a draft noxious weed eradication plan for a particular site with two additional partners. Intern will work alongside the Conservation District with water quality sampling and analysis. Will also interact with the Trust Board of Ebey’s Landing NHR staff in interpretive endeavors and historic properties inventory updates.
  • Whidbey Island represents the idyllic climate and island life in America. This stunning landscape at the gateway to Puget Sound, with its rich farmland and promising seaport, lured the earliest American pioneers north of the Columbia River to Ebey’s Landing. Today this National Historical Reserve preserves the agricultural and cultural traditions of Ebey’s Landing – both native and Euro-American – while offering spectacular opportunities for recreation.
  • Training will include lots of hands on experience. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn about the National Park Service system.
  • Recreational Opportunities abound, endless, off the charts! Washington ferries, Washington state parks, and the city of Seattle!
