 -Facilitate outdoor environmental education and wildlife-dependent programs for urban youth, schools, parks, and partners working with youth in the Houston metropolitan area. 
-Coordinate and participate in habitat protection and restoration projects on surrounding national wildlife refuges and partner lands.
-Assist with facilitating Environmental Education field trips and service projects with members of SCA’s High School conservation crews.
-Research and identify opportunities to engage urban audiences in wildlife conservation.
-Keep an accurate record of the numbers of youth served and programs facilitated.
-Work as a team with other interns, SCA and refuge staff.
 
  • Working throughout the Houston metropolitan area, this position will be based out of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Ecological Service’s Clearlake Office.
  • Various training opportunities with FWS, SCA and partner organizations, including habitat restoration, environmental education and recreation.
