Cultural Landscape Media Internship

Position ID
The Cultural Landscape Media Intern will collaborate with National Park Service (NPS) staff to develop engaging and interactive media that supports landscape preservation maintenance and education training initiatives. Responsibilities associated with this position include:
  • Produce educational media and virtual lessons that support curriculum and on-line training program about landscape preservation maintenance.
  • Work with Boston-area youth and local, non-profit media production studios to develop creative pieces that utilize audio, video and photography.
  • Generate media that supports NPS training programs in arboriculture, landscape maintenance and chainsaw safety.
  • Create graphic materials to publicize and promote education and training programs. Prepare brochures, flyers, completion reports, monthly bulletins and briefing statements. Keep web presence for cultural landscape maintenance and education programs up to date and active.
  • Boston, Massachusetts
  • The intern will be encouraged to participate in on-line training and webinar events, workshops and field shadowing of NPS employees, preservation maintenace field projects, workplace safety training, and introduction to eduation theory and practice.
  • The intern will learn about preservation practice and history of nationally
    significant properties. Based in Boston, MA, intern will have access to broad educational and recreational opportunities.
