The Student Conservation Association (SCA) has partnered with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to provide over 50 internships for students from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
 
The program begins May, 2014!
 
Program Details:
  • Internships take place in U.S. Fish and Wildlife field stations from Alaska to Alabama to Maine
  • Internships range from 10-12 weeks over the summer months
  • Internship Areas of focus include: natural resources management, visitor services & refuge management
  • Members will participate in a week-long orientation session to kick off your internship

Eligibility:

  • US Citizen
  • First and Second Year college students (in current academic calendar year)
  • Full-time students in current academic calendar year 2013-14
  • *Some internship positions in this program do require you to have access to a personal vehicle during your internship.
  • Available to serve in the Southeast, Midwest, Northeast, or Alaska: May to August 2014

 

 
 

  • Internships will be located in the Southeast, Midwest, Northeast regions of the United States as well as in
    Alaska
  • CDIP Members will participate in a week long orientation at the beginning of their internship. Members will also participate in service specific training at their internship location.
  • All CDIP interns will be assigned a mentor within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for professional develpment and support during their service.
