Position ID
You will be performing on-going research at the Invasive Plant Research facility, focusing on the biological control of invasive weeds in several south Florida ecosystems. You will grow many different species of plants in gardens and greenhouses, and maintain insect colonies in quarantine greenhouses for use in controlling invasive species. You will periodically visit field sites to collect and process samples. EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL OPORTUNITIES: You will have the opportunity for field trips in the Everglades ecosystem to support research projects. It’s easy to find sports, special events, shops, dining, diving, and more from the Blue Wave beaches to the exotic Everglades.
