Position will be on Pocosin Lakes NWR and will involve planning, organizing and implementing biological activities on the refuge.  Duties include but are not limited to conducting migratory bird surveys, banding wood ducks and other species, construct, maintain and repair wood duck boxes, manage water levels in moist soil units, conduct vegetation surveys in moist soil units, work on farming program (farm agreements and pesticide use proposals), monitor and map invasive plant species, plan and execute chemical treatments of invasive species, assist with compliance paperwork including permits with Army Corps of Engineers, CAMA, Water Quality, prepare and submit reports on waterfowl, water management, endangered species, draft plans such as Habitat Management Plan, Comprehensive Conservattion Plan, Minor Expansion Plan, and may also include some maintenance activities.
