ARAMARK Sustainability Internships

SCA has teamed up with ARAMARK to offer a broad spectrum of hands-on sustainability internships at universities, K-12 schools, businesses, hospitals, sports stadiums and national park sites nationwide, as well as a few international locations. Take advantage of the opportunity to:

All selected interns are required to attend an expenses-paid training and orientation program the week of May 20th, 2013 in Philadelphia, PA. Interns must also arrange for their own housing during internship. For some ARAMARK national park locations, onsite housing may be available at a low-cost.

Sustainability Intern at Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, MO – Eager to demonstrate your passion for sustainability while making an impact? Here’s a great opportunity! The Sustainability Intern will focus on dining operations, which may include sustainable product sourcing, waste management, energy and water conservation initiatives, and more. Sustainability Intern at Zephyr Cove Resort Dining, Zephyr Cove, NV Built in the early 1900s and located on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe, Zephyr Cove Resort is a historic recreational destination that offers a wide variety of activities and amenities to guests. Sustainability Internship at the College of Charleston in SC. Responsibilities include assisting the Sr. Food Service Director with the implementation of ARAMARK’s food donation program; developing a “Low Impact Event Program”; implementing a tracking system for local purchasing; and marketing and communicating sustainability initiatives across campus. The Sustainability Intern will focus on sustainable operations, including development of Environmental Management Systems (EMS), participating in Green Team activities, and assuming a lead role in performing an energy audit and feasibility study for solar conversion on selected facilities. Sustainability Internship at Asilomar Conference Grounds, Pacific Grove, CA. The Sustainability Intern will work with staff and the Green Team at Asilomar to further the development of its EMS for 2012, primarily focused on development and implementation of Asilomar Integrated Action Plan towards meeting their 2012 environmental goals and objectives with an emphasis on sustainable food and beverage and sustainable green meetings initiatives. Specific Responsibilities to Include: Assist location Environmental Steward with EMS development. Participate on Green team; fulfill tasks assigned by the Steward and Green team related to EMS development. Take a lead role in implementing Asilomar 2012 Integrated Action Plan (Sustainability Plan) with an emphasis on developing Asilomar sustainable food and beverage and green meetings initiatives.
