FAQ

Do you accept international applicants?

Yes. However, some internship positions do require US citizenship. Check each position's Requirements. More general information can be found here.

Can I get academic credit for an internship?

Interns may be able to receive academic credit through the college or institution in which they are currently enrolled. Contact your academic advisor to discuss whether this is possible. For interns not currently enrolled in an academic program or institution, Colorado State University's Department of Natural Resources, Recreation, and Tourism offers an option to earn up to 12 undergraduate credits (tuition fee required). The intern would work with an academic mentor and receive a grade for the work. Detailed information will be made available to everyone who is chosen to serve in an SCA internship position. Applicants must wait until they have accepted a position to apply for Colorado State University credit.

How do I find information about other SCA programs?

If you're looking for High School Programs, for ages 15-19, explore National Conservation Crews or Community Programs.

Field Leader staff positions for those 21 and older are seasonal or year-round.

Please go to the Applying page to find lots of basic information about working with the application.

What is an advisor?

An Advisor is an SCA staff person from our Member Services Department specializing in supporting applicants and members throughout their affiliation with SCA.
