Recreation Intern
These positions are located in Eagle, CO but interns travel the whole Eagle-Holy Cross District
The Intern will focus on managing the developed sites (campgrounds, picnic sites, and overlooks) to standard. This mean ensuring the sites are clean, free of debris, and properly signed. They will clean vault toilet buildings, do minor maintenance on campground facilities, clean fire pits, paint signs, update sign boards, clean up dispersed areas of debris, and most importantly make public contacts. The Intern will inform and educate the public about recreation regulations, firewood harvesting, fire bans, and an assortment of other natural resource regulations. The intern would also help with these other programs in Recreation: Off HIghway Vehicle mgt.; travel plan implementation; roads; visitor information; dispersed recreation; and special event staffing.
