New Hampshire Conservation Corps

Environmental Education

Based in Bear Brook State Park in New Hampshire, the primary partners for this program are the New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation and Volunteer NH (AmeriCorps). Corps Members spend much of the winter months providing environmental education and service learning programs to middle school students in Manchester, NH as well as several community nonprofits. During the summer, the members are engaged in delivering conservation service to New Hampshire State Parks, mostly in the form of trail construction and maintenance, campground rehabilitation and historic preservation.

Massachusetts Parks AmeriCorps

Based at Kenneth Dubuque State Forest in Hawley, Massachusetts, the primary partners are the Massachusetts Service Alliance (AmeriCorps) and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Corps Members spend much of the winter months providing environmental education and service learning programs to students in the schools of western Massachusetts as well as several community nonprofits. During the summer, the members are engaged in delivering conservation service to Massachusetts State Parks and Forests as well as many community-based natural areas. Their work mostly involves trail construction and maintenance.

Adirondack Park AmeriCorps

Trail Work

Based in the Adirondack Park, Long Lake, New York, the primary partners are the New York Department of Environmental Conservation and AmeriCorps. Corps Members engage in critical conservation and recreational management projects throughout the Adirondack Park and complete trail construction and maintenance, invasive species management and historic preservation projects.

Hudson River Valley AmeriCorps

This program has several partners, the largest of which are the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and AmeriCorps. Corps Members serve at a variety of sites from Saratoga to New York City and deliver conservation service, interpretation, environmental education and conservation research for the numerous partners.
