
Pittsburgh SCA is seeking high school teens who are interested in working to provide hands on service to parks, green spaces and natural areas all over the region. We are recruiting for several programs currently including:
2013 Conservation Leadership Corps (CLC) - a great way for to meet new people, develop new skills and visit new places. This unique program, completely free of charge, takes high school students to some of the most beautiful areas in Pennsylvania. Students come together twice a month from January to May; each month includes one weekend trip and one weekday evening meeting. Participants will about the environment, engage in team building and leadership activities and work on conservation projects. Members also earn the right to apply and serve on SCA national summer crews which occur in national parks all over the United States. Brashear Southside Crew - SCA is seeking 12 high school students interested in serving on a crew from January to May 2013. This crew will meet once a week after school and 2 Saturdays each month to work in and around Southside Park. Crew members will earn stipends by helping to improve Southside Park. They will also be paid to learn about conservation and green careers, and they will identify and secure a summer job by creating and implementing their own career plan. Interested?
