Traveling to 47 different wildlife refuges throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas in one year might seem like a daunting task to most, but not for mother and son team, Jenny and Oliver Davis, of Burlington.
The two are launching a service project sponsored by the Fish and Wildlife Department and the Student Conservation Association in Albuquerque, NM on Sept. 17. They are prepared to scan and archive original, one-of-a-kind photos, maps, and other documents into a database that will allow access to members of the entire Park Service and ultimately, the public, Jenny said.
