The Teen Trip and Travel Program Lead will be responsible for implementing and organizing 10 one-week long summer camp sessions for middle school students (rising 6th – 8th graders). Each week is individually designed, including two 4 day camping trips, a week in Southern California, two weeks of community service and three additional weeks of programming.
The Teen Trip and Travel Program Lead will be responsible for 10-20 campers and two staff member each week.
The ideal candidate has a strong background working with children in a camp setting, experience driving a 12 passenger van with children, and experience leading outdoor programs with youth. The program runs from June 6/11 to 8/10 with a week of staff training 5/29 to 6/1 and additional hours are available for program preparation.

Maintain safe and appropriate environment for middle school campers
Make relationships with camper parents…
Model appropriate behavior for campers.
Additional responsibilities as required.
Experience leading youth programs especially with middle school aged children.
Experience with outdoor education, camping, challenge course.
Experience supervising staff.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Passions for camp, informal education and youth programs.
Knowledge of summer camps.
Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently.
Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to improvise is a must.
Must be 25 years or older.
Clean driving record.
HOURS: 40 hours per week. May 29 – Aug 10. Additional staff training and program prep hours may be available.
