I am a 22 year old Korean American, born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in New York. Previous to my senior year of college, I had done very little traveling in my life. However, in the summer of 2010, I went on a research expedition to the Amazon River Basin and there, all my goals, dreams, and interests blew up to 10 times its size. Now I can't stop traveling and learning new things that will ultimately lead me to perform my own research with my own research assistants. This is my first time to a desert environment and I am stoked!
