The Student Conservation Association has submitted a draft Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) grant application to the State of California's Off Highway Motorized Vehicle Recreation Division of State Parks. The public is invited to comment on any changes or improvements to the program, and to assist with the development of the grant application. The application will be available for public review from Tuesday, March 5, 2013 through Monday, April 1, 2013. Final grant applications are due to the State of California on May 6, 2013.

The grant application is being submitted for the following projects:
- Restoration of lands within and around the Golden Valley Wilderness
- Restoration of lands within and around the Grass Valley Wilderness
- Restoration of lands within and around the Owens Peak Wilderness
- Restoration of lands within and around the Kiavah Wilderness.
- Restoration of lands within and around the Bright Star Wilderness.
- Restoration of lands within and around the Coso Range Wilderness.
- Monitoring of past restoration activities in the El paso Mountains Wilderness
