1/17/2011, Kingman & Heritage Islands, NE Washington DC
We had 110 participants: SCA CLC & Summer Program alumni, corporate groups, 3 schools, families, neighborhood residents, SCA interns, a representative from the DC Gov, and all of the awesome SCA DC Staff.
Projects
- Removed approximately 1/2 acre of Honey Suckle (invasive)
- Cleared 1/2 mile of trail, built 1 bog bridge, and rerouted a 50-foot section of trail
- Cleaned trash from over 3 acres of the park
Thanks to all the volunteers and staff who braved the cold to come out and spend their day keeping the island beautiful!
