Community Service Opportunities - Winter/Spring 2011

SCA COMMUNITY SERVICE 2011


Meet new people, work outside, and earn your volunteer service hours. The SCA has lots of 2011 volunteer opportunities, and participants receive priority placement for paid DC Summer Commuting Conservation Crews.

Spring Service Projects 2011:

(Receive 8 hrs of community service for each of these days).

  • April 23rd – Earth Day
    • Location: Activity Center at Ft Dupont National Park, SE DC [map [1]] [website [2]]
    • Time: 8:30am-1:30pm
    • Projects: Trail Maintenance, Community Garden Preparation, and Invasive Species Removal.
    • Other: lunch will be provided. please wear long pants with sturdy boots and bring a water bottle.

We have reached capacity for this event and are no longer taking volunteer registrations. If you have already signed up please check your email in the coming weeks for more information about the event.
