NPS SCA Funds Obligation Process

SCA is often asked by our NPS partners if they can obligate no-year, two-year (FY2011-2012) and multi-year funds (which include FY2012) to support SCA programs and services (Interns, Crews or Corps) in the next fiscal year. SCA has successfully worked with the NPS in the past to assist Parks in obligating these funds through a variety of mechanisms depending on the size of park, location of park, authority of the NPS Agreements staff working with park and which SCA-NPS Agreement the project will fall under. As the obligation process varies by NPS Region please contact your regional agreements coordinator for more detailed information.

The SCA and NPS five-year National Cooperative Agreement Number is: H2495090023.

If you are interested in obligating funds to obtain SCA Conservation Interns, Crews or Corps please:

• Email your interest to SCA at: agency-help@thesca.org
• An SCA representative will contact you directly to discuss process
• Submit SCA position request via SCA’s on-line Request web-site: http://mysca.force.com/partner

In addition to the above steps, to obligate no-year, two-year (FY2011 -2012) and multi-year funds to support SCA programs and services in FY 2012:

• Submit the purchase request into IDEAS
• Submit to appropriate NPS regional contracting officer/administrative officer
• Again contact SCA

Please note that the process of obligating funds takes approximately four to six weeks to complete.
