  • SCA carries out its activities under the terms of a cooperative agreement which has been (or will be) signed with your agency/organization. For most federal agencies (BIA, BLM, DoD, FWS, NPS, USFS, USGS) a comprehensive agreement covering all units, offices, facilities or installations already exists.
  • For all agencies/organizations above, SCA will submit invoices based on actual costs incurred which may be less than or exceed the estimates listed. Final costs will reflect round-trip travel expenses, length of Internship and amount of living allowance.
  • These estimates do not include any of the costs associated with Intern housing. Should you not have onsite housing available, SCA can manage intern rental payments based on your local housing market. SCA will bill you the actual housing costs (including utilities, etc.) plus an administrative fee. For further details please contact SCA at 603-543-1700 and ask to speak with a member of the Partner Services Team.
  • Unless included in our National Cooperative Agreements with select Federal partners, SCA provides Worker's Compensation coverage and charges a monthly fee to partners. Estimated costs for SCA providing Worker's Compensation coverage are provided in the right hand column above. If you are uncertain as to whether your agency can/will provide Worker's Compensation, please contact SCA.

Department of Defense (Air Force, Army, Army Corps of Engineers, Marine Corps)

SCA carries out its cooperative programs under the terms of a national Cooperative Agreement with the Department of the Army. The funding of the DoD’s share of the costs will come from the host installation’s operating budget which will be MIPR’d to the contracting office at Fort Detrick, MD for payment to SCA. For further information on the MIPR process, please contact Ray Auger (603-543-1700 ext. 1144; rauger@theSCA.org).

Department of Defense (Navy)

SCA carries out its cooperative programs on naval installations under the terms of a national Cooperative Agreement with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM). The NAVFACENGCOM will provide its own centrally managed funding for the Navy’s share of the costs for most Internships; therefore, positions will usually not be funded out of your installation’s budget. Please submit your Intern Request Form attached to a command letterhead request directly to the Navy Cooperative Agreement Technical Representative, Walter Briggs at NAVFAC Northwest, 1101 Tautog Circle, Suite #203, Silverdale, WA 98315; telephone (360) 396-0922; DSN 744-0922; email walter.r.briggs@navy.mil with a copy to SCA to facilitate recruiting if and when your position(s) receive approval. For further information please contact Ray Auger (603) 543-1700 ext. 1144; rauger@theSCA.org).
