Park Guide/Interpretation Intern

The intern will staff the visitor center desk(s) and collect fees, (50%); create and present formal interpretive programs independently, (25%); rove park trails to make informal visitor contacts, (15%); assist in environmental education programs; (5%); gather and record measurements and data; (5%). EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: The intern is encouraged to explore the surrounding public lands to become a better source of area information. Possible opportunities to work with other park divisions, including resource management, in order to learn more about potential careers.This Internship is Not Eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award.
