You will staff a busy visitor center desk, imparting park and area information and regulations, planning trips and answering a wide variety of questions. You will also sell tour tickets and issue permits, provide structured roving interpretation, and assist search and rescue when needed. Opportunties may exist for developing and presenting additional formal interpretive activities. EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: You will have the opportunity for field trips during the initial training. You are encouraged to explore the surrounding public lands to become a better source of area information. Many natural areas, national parks and state parks are within close-by or within a few hours drive.This Internship is Not Eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award
