Join a team of dedicated rangers working to help visitors appreciate, understand, and appropriately enjoy this stunning red rock desert. You'll expand your personal knowledge and skills, by learning about the park in the meantime, while sharing this information with visitors. In this position, you will provide orientation and safety information at the visitor center (25%), issue backcountry permits (25%), collect entrance fees (25%), may develop a campfire program (5%) and rove park trails (20%). The town of Monticello (55 miles) provides gas and groceries, while major services are available in Moab, Utah (75 miles), or Cortez, Colorado (100 miles). This Internship is Not Eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award
