Colorado Fourteeners Initiative
A few seasonal trail positions still open!
Trail Project Leader (June 8 – Sept 27)
Project Leaders work as a team to lead volunteer groups on trail maintenance projects on Colorado’s high peaks, and work as a small trail maintenance crew when not working with volunteer groups. Trail work and leadership experience required. Pay: $82 - $90 per day.
Backcountry Trail Crew Member (June 8 – Sept 24)
Crew Members work as part of a backcountry trail crew working on trail construction and restoration. The crew will spend half of its season on Mt Yale, and half on Windom Peak. Must be comfortable with backcountry living; trail work experience beneficial but not required. One of these positions is an Environmental Education Specialist / Trail Crew Member position. Pay: $80 - $88 per day.
Outdoor Leadership Intern (June 8 – late August)
OLI’s work as leaders for volunteer groups on trail projects on Colorado’s high peaks. This is an opportunity to develop skills in outdoor leadership and conservation. Experience not required, but must have good interpersonal/team skills and show strong interest in outdoor leadership, education, and/or conservation. Pay: $1000 per month.
All positions require: age 18 or older, must be in good physical condition, must be available for the full term of the position applied for, and must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a vehicle.
