NOAA Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program - 2007/10/18 12:32
Through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding scholarships in marine biology, oceanography, or maritime archeology, particularly by women and minorities, and encourages independent graduate-level research through financial support of graduate studies in such fields. The Program seeks to increase the number of women and minorities in these scientific disciplines.
NOAA provides yearly support of up to $32, 000 per student: a 12-month stipend of $20, 000 in addition to a tuition allowance of up to $12, 000; and, up to $20,000 support for a four to six week research collaboration at a NOAA facility. For more information, visit http://fosterscholars.noaa.gov/
