Wildbranch Workshop in Environmental Writing - 2006/05/09 15:41 June 11 - 17- 2006
In cooperation with The Orion Society, with additional support from Northern Woodlands

Offered at Sterling College, http://sterlingcollege.edu, Wildbranch is a week-long workshop of classes, lectures, discussion groups and readings in the craft and techniques of fine writing about the world outdoors. The Wildbranch Workshop is for writers -- whether professionals, non-professionals or somewhere in between -- who want to improve and market their outdoor, natural history or environmental writing. The combination of a workshop core and daily options can benefit writers interested in producing fiction, journalism or personal essays that portray the natural world. For part of each day participants work with one of the residential faculty members on writing, reading and shared critiques. The rest of the day offers a range of other classes and workshops, with ample time to write and socialize. The teaching faculty is composed of professional writers and editors distinguished in their fields, noted for their teaching abilities, and dedicated to helping participants improve their skills. Sterling College is focused on natural resource education.
