Pitcher Mountain - 2006/05/04 14:27
My favorite hike is about 10 minutes from my house in NH - Pitcher Mountain. It takes about 15 minutes to summit this peak which is why I like it so much. I can stop on my way to and from work and within a quarter of an hour feel miles from anything else. The view of the NH uplands is spectacular and there are plenty of boulders to sit on and contemplate life. And during this time of year, like clockwork, I hear the song of the white-throated sparrow just as I round the last curve to the top.
Pitcher Mountain is in Stoddard NH, just north of Keene.
