Hiking in New Mexico - 2006/04/20 16:20
My favorite hike is down to the Rio Grande River, north of Santa Fe, through the Diablo Canyon Pass, reputed to be haunted by a ferocious young woman with wild hair. Once on a hike, a friend left the path to explore and when he came back he was bleeding with his clothes torn. He said he had been thrown to the ground and dragged through the brambles. The Diablo Canyon hike is very beautiful and easy, once you get through the pass. About 12 miles round trip from the trail head.
