			<description>The area in Denali National Park where I served this summer was particularly buggy. My crew was located near a pristine back-country lake - the first SCA crew to ever have such an opportunity - in a spiked camp (no, not alcohol...). If you have camped near lakes before, you probably know that mosquitos can be ruthless. With a little bit of herbal bug-spray, we rendered our issue to a short degree, but the killers still ascended from the lake marking the edge of our campsite. 

Until roughly day eight out of 30, the mosquitos &quot;bugged&quot; us, but as Laura mentions, this sort of novelty fades as the rhythm of crew life clears.
