Outside Adventure Kids is a new venture formed in partnership between Avid4 Adventure and Outside Magazine. The mission of Outside Adventure Kids is to inspire children and families to pursue an outdoor, non-competitive lifestyle. OAK develops strength and character in its participants through fun, adventure, risk assessment, and teamwork.
Outside Adventure Kids is all about kids, so if you do not possess a strong desire to teach and passion for working with children, then please do not apply. Other requirements include: technical skills in climbing, paddling, and/or mountain biking, youth experience and/or experience working summer camps, and WFA and CPR (minimum). Minimum age, 21years old.
Lead activities that develop students’ judgment, personal responsibility, self-esteem, and confidence. Create a group setting that provides teambuilding and new opportunities for social development. Enhance environmental understanding and stewardship. Increase physical and outdoor skills while inspiring children towards an outdoor, active lifestyle.
Dates or Employment are early June (approx. 6/2) through the 8/17. This includes 1 week of staff training. Day camp instructors will work Monday – Friday from approximately 8:00-3:15, with weekends off.
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, starting at $75 per day.
