POSITION: Boating & Sailing Camp Instructor, Oakland, CA
Spend the summer in the San Francisco Bay Area- on Lake Merritt in Oakland
Salary: $12.02-$14.77/hour or $15.87-$19.48/hour with certification
and extensive experience plus $1.71/hr Health and Wellness benefit
Camps (ages 7-17) include Muscle-Powered Boating, Basic, Intermediate,
and Advanced Sailing, Catamaran. Responsibilities: implementing
classroom and on-water curriculum-boating skills, safety
demonstrations, setting up motorboat, Opti, Sunfish, JY-15, Laser,
Catalina 14, Hobie16, Byte, kayak, canoe, pedal boat, dragonboat,
whaleboat, rowboat.
Required Qualifications:
• 18 years of age and completed 12th grade
• Basic swimming skills
• Outboard motorboat handling experience
• First Aid, CPR required by start date
• Powerboat Safety certification a plus
At least one of:
• Youth Sailing teaching experience
• Youth Boating (kayak, canoe, etc.) teaching experience
• ASA or US Sailing Small Boat Instructor
