Position Title: Kitchen Assistant
Location: Clem Miller Environmental Education Center Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, California Approximately 90 minutes north of San Francisco
Salary: Starts at $75.00 per day; 9 week position; room & board provided.

Brief Description of Duties: Assist head cook as directed in all aspects of food shopping, preparation and kitchen clean up at a residential environmental education summer camp for children.
Summary of Minimum Qualifications:
1) Experience with food preparation in a commercial setting. 2) Flexible, punctual, team-oriented, kid-friendly. 3) Ability to do considerable daily physical work; able to lift 50 pounds. 4) Enthusiasm about living and working in Point Reyes National Seashore. 5) Clean driving record and willingness to drive large van for shopping expeditions. 6) Before camp begins: must possess current standard first aid and CPR (adult & child) certification. 7) Must be 18 years of age or older. 8) An even disposition and cheerful willingness to shop, chop, serve, and mop for 2 solid months.
Background Information: The Clem Miller Environmental Education Center, home of Point Reyes Summer Camp, is nestled in a coastal valley two miles from the beach. Our summer camp program is designed to encourage children of all stations and backgrounds to explore, discover, and connect with the marine and coastal environment within the 70,000 acre National Seashore.
