POSITION: Part-Time Program Manager

Overview - GirlVentures is a strengths-based nonprofit, offering outdoor adventure programs to empower adolescent girls to develop and express their strengths. GirlVentures is seeking a self-motivated individual to assist in all aspects of program outreach, admission, logistics and implementation as Program Manager. The successful candidate will have experience working both collaboratively and independently. Some nights and weekends required. This position is diverse in its scope and responsibilities, and the successful candidate will demonstrate competency and interest in each of the primary responsibility areas set forth below. This is a part-time, permanent position.
Primary Responsibilities:
> Manage our after-school rock-climbing mentorship program: Girlz Climb On (outreach, admissions, volunteer management & program evaluation, etc.)
> Outreach for our summer programs (schedule and present at local schools, assist with mailings and camp fairs, etc.)
> Summer program admissions (assist girls and their families through the admissions process, work with scholarship committee to allot funds, maintain accurate and timely database records, secure and process all necessary paperwork & payments)
> Support logistics for programs as needed (esp. school year community courses)
> Provide Spanish translations for print materials (outreach), online text (applications) and in person exchanges (info sessions, school presentations & course starts/grads.)
> Instruct &/or Course Director for some programs, based on experience / availability.
Desired Qualifications:
> Passion for working with adolescent girls from diverse Bay Area communities.
> Experience in outdoor education instruction (preferably on 10+day expeditions).
> Spanish language fluency.
> Understanding of the unique needs of adolescent girls.
> Experience with outreach and program admissions.
> Administrative experience and solid organizational and time management skills.
> Generally tech savvy, including database use (Salesforce experience preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) essential.
> CA Driver’s License, clean driving record required. Class B License preferred.
> Wilderness First Responder required.
> Resourceful problem-solver, enthusiastic and self-motivated with a sense of humor.
Hours:
Mon: 11:30am – 7:30pm / Wed & Fri 10am – 6pm
