Open to current Federal employees serving under a career or career conditional appointment, former Federal employees with reinstatement eligibility, or persons eligible for non-competitive appointment under special authorities. This position, located in Mariposa, works within the Sierra Network Servicing Human Resources Office (SHRO) to serve Yosemite National Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, the Sierra Nevada Inventory & Monitoring Network and Devils Postpile National Monument. These parks comprise vast acreage (1.6 million acres), receive significant visitation (5.2 million annually) and administratively are among the most complex units of the National Park Service. Incumbent reports directly to the Yosemite Branch chief of Recruitment and Placement in the Sierra Network SHRO. Incumbent supervises administrative and clerical support staff responsible for coordinating personnel action processing and federal employment suitability processing (Le., background investigations, FPPS,
Quicktime, and eQip security, etc.). Serves as the Sierra Network SHRO, Yosemite Branch Human Resources Operations Center (HROC) representative for processing, record keeping, and Benefits Branches and provides advice and assistance on a continuing basis, to management in search of sound solutions to problems in support of the Park.
