Environmental Non-Profit Outreach Assistant

Internship Description:
EarthShare is seeking a full-time intern to attend charitable campaign fairs throughout the DC metropolitan area. Additional duties will/may include: assisting with campaign related office work, compiling and mailing campaign materials, speaking before groups or individuals, and campaign research. Intern must be a self-motivated individual with who can work independently with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, feel comfortable talking to people, have excellent organizational skills, and be familiar with Microsoft word and excel. As this position involves extensive local travel to and from events, a personal vehicle is required. Knowledge of environmental issues a plus.

This is a nonpaying internship but there will be reimbursement for any direct travel costs to campaign events.

Start: Mid to Late August/ Early September 2012
End Date: Dec 2012 (flexible)
Hours: 15 to 20 hours a week
