Shannon Apgar-Kurtz

Hi, my name is Shannon and I was born and raised in Alaska. I graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2010 with a degree in anthropology and I recently completed an internship with the National Park Service in cultural anthropology. Growing up in Alaska, I was exposed to the outdoors at an early age and I always relish in an opportunity to get out of the city. I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, ice-skating, rafting, and kayaking. I am really excited about serving with the SCA and AmeriCorps.
