Learning to love the desert- Canyonlands NP internship

I spent 6 months working in Canyonlands National Park on the Needles District. I worked as an interpretive intern on the weekends and taught environmental education lessons to local school children from the reservations and other schools. I will never forget how I grew to appreciate and love the desert- the silence, the percieved lack of life. My experiences teaching inspired me to continue on my path of educating in the natural world, something that I'm still very passionate about today.
