The magazine will also have an important student angle, including scholarships, research tools, chances to have works published, etc.
The publisher is looking to run a column with 4-8 contributors, all from college campuses across the country. The concept is to discuss user-friendly and innovative ways for individuals (not just students) to reduce their environmental footprint.
The title will be 356 Days of Green. The tag line will be "It looks good on you". Columnists will receive $25 per column, including graphics, and we'll include a short bio about them with their email address and a link to their web site or blog as they like. These need to be original works however, not reprints from the school's newspaper. The publisher of the magazine will also want to read a piece of the applicant's work, ideally addressing issues surrounding the environment, green living, or having participated in a well established advice column of sorts.
We're looking for someone who's fresh, entertaining, innovative and genuinely interested in green living.
If you have someone who'd be interested in the job please have them contact me as soon as possible.
