Amazon Conservation looking for a fall semester intern

 

This is a great opportunity for current students interested in forest conservation who are looking for a part-time fall semester internship (unpaid):

The Amazon Conservation Association (ACA) is a non-profit organization that works to protect the biological diversity of the Amazon basin through field projects in southeastern Peru and northern Bolivia. ACA envisions a network of state, community, and private lands managed for conservation and sustainable resource use so that the biological diversity of the southwest Amazon basin is conserved. Our programs include the implementation of the world’s first conservation concession, collaboration with Brazil nut producers and an extensive research and training program.

Responsibilities:

  • Research foundation funding opportunities and individual donors.
  • Assist with proposal preparation and mailing
  • Drafting letters, text, and newsletter articles
  • Planning and facilitating fundraising events and campaign
  • Translating proposals and other documents
  • Social networking (facebook)
  • General office support
