Amelyne Major - Project Leader

I’m Amelyne (most easily remembered M-L-N), and this will be my second year in the desert. I was a corps member last year, and I’m so glad to be back as a Project Leader! Jawbone is an intense and magical place that I feel deserves my full attention at this point in life. I believe in this program, the people involved, and the desert in all its wonder.

Important things about me: I’m Canadian; therefore, I love hockey and maple syrup. However, I’ve spent most of my life in DC soaking up the capital vibes. I love the excitement of cities, but I also love the adventure and peace of wild nature. I am passionate about food, particularly spicy and salty foods that come from places outside North America and Europe. Other interests include games of all sorts, laughing, little big cats, crossword puzzles, puns, and exploring the world. I feel very lucky to be back in the desert, and I can’t wait to find out what Jawbone has in store for us this season!
