Volunteer & Information Booth Coordinator, CUESA, SF, CA

VOLUNTEER & INFORMATION BOOTH COORDINATOR
24 hours/week (on average)- Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8-4:30; Saturdays, 7:30-4

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

VOLUNTEER COORDINATION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Duties and responsibilities may vary from week to week and month to month, requiring flexibility in the work schedule, although in general, the duties can be performed during the Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday work schedule. On average it is anticipated this portion of the position will require from 5-7 hours/week of the total 24 hours/week.
• Develop and supervise a comprehensive volunteer program, including volunteer recruitment, orientation, training, management, recognition and enrichment
• Coordinate & schedule volunteers in cooperation with all staff; some staff may choose to schedule their own volunteers
o Personally schedule and manage all Information Booth and Waste Wise Station volunteers (as described below)
• Coordinate with all staff to promote volunteer needs and opportunities
• Establish and maintain volunteer program records and documentation

INFORMATION BOOTH COORDINATION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Schedule shifts for the Information Booth and put on shared TRUMBA calendar
• Schedule shifts for the Waste Wise Stations
• Communicate to Market Managers what the volunteer schedule will be for the upcoming market
• Set up and break down of the Information Booth carefully, efficiently and consistently
• Maintain professional and courteous atmosphere at the Booth
• Assist customers with questions while fielding and directing all public inquiries appropriately
• Monitor parking/loading spaces reserved for veggie valet (ensure spaces are being used ONLY for veggie valet) and directing all others to public parking
• Assist customers with Veggie Valet (receive purchases at booth and offer help loading when the customer is picking up)
• Assist EBT customers
• Maintain cleanliness at booth
• For each market day complete an Info Booth log communicating any necessary information or issues
• Collect and count donations and submit to supervisor
• Ensure all money (cash/checks) is placed in appropriate envelope and brought upstairs at the end of the market
• Assist market operations staff in set up of all equipment needed for the information and booth and veggie valet booths
• Inform supervisor of equipment and maintenance needs
• Regularly maintain supplies needed for info booth operations and restock as necessary
• Request additional print materials as needed
• Ensure that CUESA-owned tents, tables, carts and other information and veggie valet booth equipment are stored properly at end of each market

REPORTING
• This position reports to the Director of Operations
