The Alliance for Climate Protection, a nonprofit organization founded in 2006 by former Vice President Al Gore, is offering a full-time position on its Solutions Team. The Alliance is embarking on an exciting new campaign using cutting-edge advertising and communications strategies to demonstrate the urgency and solvability of the climate crisis. The Solutions Analyst will be an integral part of this campaign to make the general public aware of climate change science and the push for clean energy solutions.
Working in the Alliance’s Washington, D.C. office, the Solutions Analyst will be responsible for conducting research on energy technology, climate change science and public policy for the Alliance’s Solutions Team — the organization’s research department. The candidate will help review relevant reports and studies, assist in writing briefing documents for the campaign, generate blog content, research and write talking points for presentations and perform miscellaneous research. Additional duties will include fact-checking materials, content management, vetting proposals and organizations, attending hearings and conferences and additional tasks as needed. Candidate must be a self-starter and, over time, be prepared to suggest or identify promising solutions, important areas of new research and other important facts or trends in climate science and solutions for the rest of the organization.
