Position: Membership Assistant
Permanent, full time - 40 hours/week
Supervisor: Development Director
Salary: $13-15/hour plus benefits, depending on qualifications

Position Description
The Membership Assistant provides administrative and gift processing support for WTA’s development program. Helps attract and retain individual members and contributes to a diversified program that includes membership, major gifts, foundation and corporate relations, and special events. Works closely with the Development Director and Membership Manager and interacts with WTA members and volunteers.
Major Responsibilities
Record gifts in donor database, write/prepare thank you letters, and run related reports to
ensure accurate, timely, and appropriate gift processing (65%)
Provide administrative support for member acquisition, stewardship, and engagement
efforts. Duties include production of print and online communications materials,
maintenance of donor database records, running database reports, supporting donor events,
and member relations (25%)
Provide backup for Office Manager and Membership Manager as needed (5%)
Other duties as directed (5%)
Required Qualifications
1 year of development/donor relations experience or equivalent
Data entry and/or database management experience
Windows, internet, and email literacy
Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel, including mail merge
Excellent attention to detail
Strong writing and editing skills
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
Well organized and able to meet deadlines
Ability to manage donor confidentiality
Interest in WTA’s mission and programs
BA or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
Experience with donor management software, such as Salesforce
Experience with page layout and photo editing software, such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
