C&NN Natural Leaders Summit 2009 -- due April 24

C&NN Natural Leaders Summit 2009 Headlands Institute: June 5th-7th 2009 Request for Nominations: C&NN's Natural Leaders Network is looking for youth leaders in your community who are focused on getting kids outdoors and want to inspire others to make a difference. 30 slots are available for young Americans to participate in the Natural Leaders Summit 2009. Application Deadline is April 24th, 2009. Are you working with youth living in the United States (between the ages of 15 and 29) who value the benefits that come from spending time in nature? Are there individuals, among them, who have shown an interest in playing a leadership role in the community? If so, we'd like to invite them to apply for this unique leadership opportunity. Selected applicants will travel to and participate in the Natural Leaders Summit 2009, a 3-day strategic planning and leadership development event. Summit participants will become part of the Natural Leaders Network (NLN) and will play a key role in bringing the "Get Outdoors" message to youth, families, and communities. NLN is an initiative of the Children & Nature Network. Through founding support of the Sierra Club and corporate support from The North Face ALL PARTICIPANT EXPENSES WILL BE COVERED including meals, lodging, flights, and transportation to and from The Headlands Institute located in the San Francisco bay area. Eligibility criteria: Youth Leaders must be between 15 and 29 years old (students and non-students) and be available to attend June 5-7th 2009.
