Adam C. Brown

This is my second season working with the SCA as a Project Leader and I am very excited to be working at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. I am originally from Mickleton, New Jersey and have a B.A. in Environmental Science from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

I first joined the SCA in 2007 as a Conservation Intern working at Shenandoah National Park surveying forests and managing invasive exotic species. I returned to the SCA in 2010 to lead a Native Plant Corps team working with Mammoth Cave National Park and the Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission. Following that project, I was fortunate enough to have spent the Fall in California working with the SCA to build trails in Point Reyes National Seashore and to carry out restoration of highly impacted areas of the Mojave Desert.

I’m looking forward to getting start on the season ahead and am pleased to have such a talented team working by my side. The area surround the Indiana Dunes has a rich history and has a tremendous potential for positive change with some help from the Native Plant Corps!

Livin' it up in the Mojave Desert.
