Position Description
As a key member of our senior management team, your responsibilities will include 1) overall management of communications, marketing and branding for the organization; 2) organizational publications and collateral; 3) the development of content for the website and other electronic communications technology; and 4) media relations for American Forests.
Skills and Experience
Candidates must have excellent writing, editing and public speaking skills, and demonstrated experience in managing strategic communications, media relations and marketing programs; project planning and implementation; and successfully developing content for highly integrated websites. Occasional travel may be necessary.
This challenging and exciting opportunity requires a minimum of 7-10 years of communications management experience, as well as a Bachelors Degree in communications, marketing, journalism or public relations (with a Masters Degree preferred). Experience in the conservation community and the demonstrable ability to attract national attention and build a national following among the general public for the organization is strongly desired.
