Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer

Job Description

The Low Impact Development Center, Inc. is looking for an engineer or scientist to work on projects evaluating low impact development and green infrastructure for municipal stormwater management. The work entails developing technical manuals and reports, assessing regulatory and incentive programs, and participating in workshops and training efforts. Much of the work supports Federal and municipal government stormwater efforts. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the hydrologic principles of LID stormwater management, water infrastructure issues, and stormwater regulations. A background in engineering and/or planning and 5+ years of experience is desired. A master’s degree and knowledge of water policy issues are preferred. Strong writing skills are essential.
