Marine Camp Coordinator

The Marine Science Institute is a non-profit science and environmental education organization offering hands-on programs that excite and enlighten students about science. We are seeking a qualified Marine Camp Coordinator for summer sessions. MSI is located in Redwood City, CA on the San Francisco Bay.

This is a seasonal, full-time position beginning May 2, 2011 and ending August 22, 2011. Salary dependent on experience.

Position Responsibilities:

• Train and manage all Marine Camp staff. Oversee camp registration processes.
• Coordinate and schedule all Marine Camp sessions and programs.
• Provide an enthusiastic and supportive environment for Camp Instructors, Counselors, Interns and Volunteers.
• Correspond with campers’ parents.
• Evaluate and supplement current curriculum. Inventory and order supplies.
