DC Project:
The DC Project is recruiting for its spring Fellowship Program. We are looking to fill several different positions, including management, business development, communications, graphic design, organizing and others.
The Fellowship is a great opportunity for people interested in clean energy, economic and workforce development, energy and labor policy, grassroots organizing, innovative design, and non-profit management.

Alliance for Climate Protection Intership:
The Alliance for Climate Protection seeks interns for the spring semester of 2011. Internship positions are available in several different areas; including New Media, Communications, International Policy, Solutions, Repower at Home, and Youth Programs. Please see below for each department’s internship responsibilities, qualifications, and eligibility.
Program Qualifications:
- Current or recent undergraduate or graduate student
- Interest in climate issues and nonprofit organizations
- Willingness to participate in occasional intern events and volunteer opportunities
Internship Details: Interns will work in our Washington, DC headquarters, located a short walk from the Chinatown and Metro Center metro stations. This is an unpaid position, but course credit can be arranged. Interns must be able to commit at least 15 hours a week to the position. Internship program dates are roughly mid-January through the end of April for the spring semester.

DESCRIPTION
The legislative intern will work with BlueGreen Alliance advocacy staff, gaining in-depth knowledge within a specific issue area (such as transportation policy). He or she will also help support advocacy efforts for legislative and executive branch policy proposals, inform coalition-building efforts among BlueGreen Alliance partners and other non-profit organizations, and help research and write reports as well as collateral and press materials.
In addition, all interns are asked to participate in administrative work as needed; however, the overall nature of the internship is highly substantive, focusing around specific projects as determined by the applicant and supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong research, writing and computer skills are necessary. Hill experience/familiarity a plus. Prior study and/or interest in the environment, international trade, globalization, economics, law/pre- law, labor movement and/or social justice desirable, as well as an awareness of current events. Familiarity with office procedures and scheduling/logistics is helpful. Applicants fluent in Spanish are highly encouraged to apply.
CAPABILITIES
The ideal candidate will be organized and willing to learn; he or she will perform well under the pressure of deadlines with an ability to work independently while adapting to rapidly changing situations.
EXPECTATIONS
The internship can be full- or part-time; please communicate your weekly availability in your cover letter.
COMPENSATION
All internships are UNPAID, though academic credit can be arranged.
