SCA provided me with an awesome experience; conducting preventative search and rescue in Yosemite National Park! The internship took me inside the National Park Service, where I was able to meet Rangers and learn about the different career paths. It was invaluable. SCA is a common starting point for many in the Park Service and other land management agencies. After my internship, I started working seasonally for the National Park Service and I haven’t looked back!
